Besides being annoying, fixing a leaky faucet also saves you some money! Dripping water at one drip/second wastes 400 gallons of water in a year. If this is hot water, you are watching your money go down the drain!

Although a small drip may seem inconsequential , it will cost you money. Washers that will tighten your faucets and get rid of those leaks take only minutes to install.

Cleaning House

Vinyl and aluminum sidings are virtually maintenance free, with a simple wet- brushing or hosing off all that is necessary. Sometimes stubborn areas of dirt could use harder brushing with 1/3c. laundry detergent, and 6 gallons of water. Add some chlorine bleach if fighting mildew. Work from the bottom up to about 5 ft. vertical sections. Rinse with plain water, going over previously washed sections so the runoff doesn’t dry on an already cleaned area!

Automatic Door Sweep

Many rooms have carpeting now-a-days resulting in doors to have some necessary clearance to open and close properly. This opening under the doors can cost some loss in house heat in the winter months. Try installing a door sweep, it works by lifting up whenever the door is closed, thereby keeping much warm air in and cool air out!

Carpet Repairs

Indentations can be removed from your carpet by laying a damp towel over the depression and pressing down with an iron. After the towel dries, the indentation should be gone!
